ARENA Advancing Renewables Program

ARENA’s flagship open-ended program funds development, demonstration and pre-commercial deployment projects that increase the supply or competitiveness of renewable energy in Australia. Projects must sit within one of ARENA’s investment priorities: ultra low-cost solar, optimising the transition to renewable electricity, commercialising clean hydrogen, supporting low-emissions metals, and decarbonising transport. The program runs as a two-stage process, starting with an expression of interest carrying a project plan and conflict-of-interest declaration, followed by an invited full application submitted through ARENAnet. It is continuously open with no closing date and runs until funds are exhausted, with ARENA assessing in batches depending on pipeline volume; projects must be delivered in Australia.
