Climate Tech Partners (CTP) is an Australian venture capital firm founded in 2023 by Tom Kline and Patrick Sieb, focused on accelerating decarbonisation through investments in globally scalable technology solutions. CTP targets Series A climate tech startups (with openness to Seed and Series B) across three sectors: Energy & Power, Transport & Logistics, and Industrials & Mining — covering software, hardware, and deep tech in B2B or B2B2C models. Typical check sizes range from A$1–5M, with reserve capital for follow-on investments. CTP leads rounds in Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore, and co-invests in other OECD countries. A distinguishing feature is its corporate partnership model: 10+ corporate partners including Ausgrid, BHP, Qantas, Airbus, and Alinta Energy provide deal validation, co-investment, and commercial pathways for portfolio companies. The debut fund reached a first close of approximately A$50M, anchored by Australian Ethical Investments and the Clean Energy Finance Corporation (A$15M each), with a further A$15M from Qantas and Airbus. Offices are in Sydney and Melbourne.
