Convent Capital is an independent asset manager founded in 2011 and headquartered in Amsterdam, Netherlands. It operates two investment strategies: a Long-hold Strategy targeting Benelux-based SMEs across sectors, pursuing organic growth and buy-and-build opportunities; and an AgriFood Growth Fund (launched April 2022, Article 9 sustainable fund) that provides growth capital of €5M–€20M per ticket to innovative and sustainable agrifood companies across OECD countries, with approximately 20% allocated to the blue economy. The AgriFood Growth Fund reached a second close at €100M in April 2023, backed by investors including a.s.r. and the European Investment Fund (EIF), against a target of €150M. Since inception, Convent has backed more than 50 companies. The firm focuses on companies that have moved beyond the venture stage into growth, with a strong emphasis on sustainability, circular economy transition, and positive environmental impact alongside financial returns.
