Curie.Bio is a Boston-based seed-stage venture firm combined with an industry-grade therapeutics accelerator, founded in 2022 by Alexis Borisy, Zach Weinberg, and Christoph Lengauer. The firm operates in two parts: it provides seed-stage capital (typically $7M–$12M per company) to early-stage therapeutics startups, and pairs that capital with hands-on operational support from a team of over 80 full-time drug hunters, scientists, and biotech operators. Its stated mission is to help founders launch therapeutics companies that go on to raise a Series A round, acting as a 'drug discovery co-pilot' rather than taking control. Curie.Bio invests directly into existing companies, creates focused spinouts, and helps founders build companies from scratch. It launched with $520M in February 2023 (backed by GV, ARCH Venture Partners, and Leaps by Bayer), added a $380M pro rata Series A fund in June 2024, and raised an additional $340M seed fund in January 2025, bringing total funds raised to approximately $1.2B. As of early 2025, it had invested in over 26 startups with a sub-1% acceptance rate from roughly 4,000 applications. Founders can apply via the Connect page on the website.
