The European Meteorological Society's 2026 Annual Meeting, held September 6–11, 2026, as a hybrid event at the Jaarbeurs conference centre in Utrecht, The Netherlands, brings together 800+ meteorologists, climate scientists, hydrologists, policymakers, and industry partners to address climate change's complex impacts on European weather patterns and water resource management. Organized by local partners including the Nederlandse Vereniging ter bevordering van de Meteorologie, the Koninklijk Nederlands Meteorologisch Instituut (KNMI), Wageningen University, and Delft University of Technology, the conference focuses on the organizing theme "Delta Climate in Europe: Weather, Water, and Warnings." Technical sessions address early warning systems for extreme weather events, societal resilience strategies and adaptation planning, extreme weather event forecasting and prediction, water management and flood mitigation, and climate adaptation in vulnerable coastal and river flood-prone regions, examining how infrastructure.
