The Hellenic Presidency of the EU Strategy for the Adriatic and Ionian Region (EUSAIR) organized a high-level dialogue on climate resilience held April 8–9, 2025 in Corfu, Greece. Co-hosted by the Hellenic Ministry of Environment and Energy and the Region of Ionian Islands, the two-day event convened key stakeholders—EUSAIR member states, EU and UN institutions, development finance actors, and regional authorities—to accelerate climate-proofing of critical infrastructure, support sustainable coastal tourism, and strengthen resilience of cities and communities. Focus areas included adaptation strategies for shared environmental challenges, disaster risk prevention and management, and building climate-smart development across the Adriatic-Ionian macroregion. Participants exchanged experiences with infrastructure climate adaptation, water scarcity management, coastal erosion mitigation, and sectoral resilience approaches tailored to Mediterranean and Adriatic vulnerabilities, supporting the region's National Adaptation Plans.
