Energy Tech Summit 2027

Energy Tech Summit is Contrarian Ventures' invitation-heavy European climate tech gathering in Bilbao, supported by the Bizkaia regional government, drawing 1,500+ attendees including 400+ investor funds, 400+ startups and scaleups, 250+ corporates and 120+ speakers. The 2027 programme is built around four themes — Generating Green Electrons, Electron to X, Physical AI, and Financing the Electron Stack — spanning clean generation, storage and conversion, AI in energy systems, and how capital is actually flowing into the sector. Format is deliberately deal-oriented: a startup pitch competition, one-on-one investor matchmaking, curated roundtables and a closing gala at the Guggenheim. It is one of the few European events where the investor-to-founder ratio genuinely favours fundraising conversations.
