Firgun Ventures

Firgun Ventures is a London-based venture capital firm and the first VC fund dedicated exclusively to early growth-stage quantum technology companies at the Series A and Series B stages. Founded by Dr. Kris Naudts (MD, PhD) and Zeynep Korutürk (former Goldman Sachs executive), the firm launched its debut $250 million fund in November 2025 with a first close of $70 million anchored by the Qatar Investment Authority. It invests globally across quantum computing, quantum sensing, quantum communications, and quantum cryptography, with downstream applications in healthcare, climate science, finance, and cybersecurity. The fund also considers platform-enabling technologies such as photonics, cryogenics, and control systems. Firgun positions itself as a lead investor and aims to back 15–20 quantum companies by 2030. Its advisory council includes experts from Cambridge, Oxford, MIT, Google, and the European Investment Bank. The firm operates with a particular emphasis on North America and Europe.
