The Healthy Homes Fair 2026, the third edition of this free, family-friendly expo, returns March 21 to The Catholic University of America in Washington, DC, hosted by Electrify DC in partnership with the DC Department of Energy and Environment and regional energy agencies. The fair brings together approximately 100 exhibitors, home decarbonization innovators, energy efficiency contractors, and career pathway providers to help DC-area residents and renters make homes healthier, more resilient, and more affordable to power. Attendees learn about clean energy technologies including heat pumps, induction cookstoves, electric water heaters, insulation upgrades, and rooftop solar, explore available financial incentives and rebate programs, discover training and career opportunities in clean energy and HVAC sectors, and participate in hands-on demonstrations in multiple languages. Programming features an appliance 'petting zoo,' cooking demonstrations, weatherization workshops, and activities building climate literacy. The fair emphasizes equity and accessibility, ensuring residents across income levels and language backgrounds can access information for decarbonizing homes.
