Iowa offers a suite of startup and innovation funding programs through its Economic Development and Finance Authority, including the Iowa Innovation Acceleration Fund (up to $250K for early-stage, $500K for scaling, $1M for established companies) and the InnoVenture Iowa co-investment fund ($30M focused on biosciences, advanced manufacturing, and IT). The State Small Business Credit Initiative provides $96 million in capital for venture investment, lending programs, and startup development across the state. Additional support includes Innovation Fund Tax Credits for venture capital investors, small business loans up to $50,000, and targeted programs for women-, minority-, and disabled-owned businesses. Iowa's economic development infrastructure spans the full startup lifecycle from ideation through growth.
