Idaho Commerce offers a range of incentives, tax credits, and grant programs for businesses and startups, including the Idaho Opportunity Fund which serves as a deal-closing fund for business expansion and recruitment, and the GEM grant program supporting infrastructure and economic development in small communities. Tax credits are available for activities such as creating jobs in economically depressed areas, hiring long-term unemployed workers, and workplace accessibility improvements. The Idaho Small Business Development Center (SBDC) provides counseling, funding guidance, and certification assistance to entrepreneurs.
