EIC Transition

EIC Transition funds technology validation in a relevant environment together with business-readiness development, carrying results out of earlier EU-funded research toward market entry. Grants run up to EUR 2.5M per project from a EUR 100M annual budget, with booster grants of up to EUR 50K available on top. Applicants must be a single SME, start-up, spin-out or research organisation established in an EU Member State or Horizon Europe Associated Country, or a consortium of two to five such entities from different countries; critically, the proposal must build directly on results already achieved at completed TRL 3 or 4 in an eligible prior project such as an EIC Pathfinder, an ERC Proof of Concept, or a listed Horizon Europe or H2020 action. One deadline runs per year, and the 2026 round closes 16 September 2026.
