Innovation Project in the Industrial Sector: Energy and Transport
GrantActiveThe Research Council of Norway’s flagship company-led R&D grant for the energy and transport sectors, covering environmentally friendly energy, petroleum, maritime, and transport pilot projects, and funding industrial research and experimental development of new products, services and processes. Grants range from NOK 1M to NOK 20M, with transport capped at NOK 10M, at up to 50 percent of eligible costs from a pot of roughly NOK 586M. Applications are open-ended with rolling assessment until the funds are exhausted, so there is no fixed deadline. Eligibility is tight: the project owner must be registered in the Norwegian Register of Business Enterprises and conduct economic activity in Norway, sole proprietorships cannot be project owners, and the owner must run the project with at least one Norwegian company partner or commission research from at least one R&D provider.
