Zero Emission Vessels and Infrastructure 2: Alternative Fuels

ZEVI 2 funds real-world demonstration of alternative-fuel vessels together with the port refuelling infrastructure needed to serve them, as one of three strands sharing a GBP 150M Department for Transport pot delivered by Innovate UK. Total eligible project costs must fall between GBP 6M and GBP 60M, with a maximum grant request of GBP 30M and no more than GBP 20M going to any single participant. Applications must be collaborative and led by a UK registered business of any size that is, or partners with, a UK registered ship owner, manufacturer or operator, and that is also, or partners with, a UK registered infrastructure owner or operator. The three-year demonstration period should take place in UK waters wherever possible; this single fixed window opened 26 March 2026 and closes 16 September 2026.
