Life Science Invest

Life Science Invest is the Nordic region's largest business angel network focused exclusively on life science. Founded in 2020 by Ann-Charlotte Beckman and Magnus Klaesson (with Kristofer Klerfalk joining management in 2022), the network operates through a series of co-investment vehicles — LSI Alpha through LSI Zeta — each raised from a pool of experienced life science entrepreneurs and professionals. To date, the LSI companies have raised 91 million SEK from more than 100 angel investors and have invested in 36 early-stage Nordic life science, medtech, and healthtech companies. Each vehicle targets around ten portfolio companies per fund. Investment criteria include: Nordic domicile, company valuation below 100 mSEK, and a desired financing round of 3–20 mSEK. The network evaluates companies through a structured investment committee process covering need, solution, market, IP, business model, team, and exit strategy. The sixth and most recent vehicle, LSI Zeta, raised EUR 2.9 million from 35 Nordic angels in January 2026.
