MSD Global Health Innovation Fund
InvestorActiveMSD Global Health Innovation Fund (MGHIF) is the corporate venture capital arm of Merck & Co. (MSD), founded in 2010 and headquartered in Rahway, New Jersey. It focuses on growth-stage investments in digital health and data science companies that facilitate and optimize biopharmaceutical operations, with the goal of improving patient care. The fund manages $500M in assets and has made over 130 investments to date. Its sector interests span digital health, drug discovery, manufacturing, supply chain, and health information technology. MGHIF primarily invests in the US but has expanded internationally through its IDEA Studios initiative, launched in 2024, with hubs in Singapore and Berlin targeting Asia Pacific and European entrepreneurs respectively, with a planned $38M commitment across both regions over three years. The fund connects portfolio companies with MSD's global R&D resources and commercial infrastructure.
