National Adaptation Forum

The 7th National Adaptation Forum, held in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center on May 12–14, 2026, is the premier U.S. gathering of the climate adaptation community. Convening hundreds of government agencies, NGOs, academic institutions, tribal communities, and on-the-ground practitioners, the forum facilitates peer-to-peer learning and knowledge exchange on practical climate adaptation strategies across multiple sectors and geographies. Sessions address urban heat action plans, coastal resilience and managed retreat strategies, water resource management and drought adaptation, climate-informed public health initiatives and disease vector management, ecosystem-based adaptation approaches, and tribal community resilience and indigenous knowledge integration. The biennial event emphasizes scaling effective adaptation solutions nationwide, building supportive professional networks among practitioners, translating climate science into actionable community-level projects, and accelerating implementation of adaptation solutions.
