Quantum Computing Applications for Large Scale Impact: CR&D
GrantActiveThis Innovate UK collaborative R&D competition, run under the National Quantum Technologies Programme, funds development of quantum software and application layers aimed at real industrial or public-sector problems in healthcare, finance, optimisation, materials design and machine learning, with validation on near-term quantum systems and a credible commercialisation path. Grants run from GBP 300K to GBP 4M per project out of a GBP 13M pot, for projects lasting 24 to 36 months. The lead applicant must be a UK registered business; collaboration is optional, but where a consortium applies the lead plus at least one other organisation must claim funding and no single grant-claiming organisation may account for more than 70 percent of eligible costs. Funded organisations must carry out the majority of project work in the UK and intend to exploit results from or in the UK; the competition opened 4 August 2026 and closes 24 September 2026.
