Riot Ventures is a venture capital firm based in Venice (Los Angeles), California, investing primarily in the United States. It backs founders applying advanced technology—AI, robotics, autonomy, and advanced manufacturing—to modernize capital-intensive, physical industries such as aerospace, defense, logistics, energy, and construction, deliberately targeting sectors it views as historically underfunded relative to software. The firm invests across the full lifecycle, from pre-seed hardware and deep-tech companies with early prototypes through growth-stage follow-ons for scaling portfolio companies, and has shown a tendency to lead or co-lead institutional rounds.
