Silent Ventures

Silent Ventures is a solo-GP, early-stage venture capital firm based in Dallas, Texas, investing primarily in the United States. It backs founders building aerospace, defense, and national-security technology companies, including autonomous surface vessels, hypersonic and missile systems, counter-drone radar, space infrastructure, AI-powered military logistics and mission planning, drone manufacturing, and dual-use advanced manufacturing and energy infrastructure. The firm explicitly excludes consumer apps, generic SaaS, and commercial software without a defense or national-security application, and focuses on concept-stage, pre-seed, and seed companies, often as the first institutional check, sometimes taking a board seat. It typically writes checks of $1.5M to $3M, can lead or follow rounds, and reserves capital to double down from pre-seed into seed in portfolio breakouts. Its second fund, an $85M vehicle, closed with institutional LPs including GPx as an anchor investor. Silent Ventures also operates a syndicate, Silent Capital, and publishes quarterly LP research on aerospace and defense trends.
