InvestorActiveWoven Capital is Toyota's growth-stage corporate venture capital arm, founded in 2021 and managing $1.6B across two $800M funds. It invests globally in Series B to late-stage (pre-IPO) companies advancing mobility and adjacent deep technologies, including autonomous driving, AI, robotics, smart cities, electrification, sustainable energy, advanced materials, battery tech, and industrial value chain digitization. Initial cheques typically range from $10M to $35M, with each fund targeting 20–25 portfolio companies. Approximately 80% of portfolio companies develop strategic collaborations with the Toyota Group. Ownership was transferred from Woven by Toyota to Toyota Motor Corporation directly on July 1, 2025, making Woven Capital a wholly owned Toyota subsidiary.
