13th European Urban Resilience Forum (EURESFO 2026)

The 13th European Urban Resilience Forum (EURESFO 2026) takes place June 17–19, 2026 at the Pavilhão Multiusos de Guimarães in Guimarães, Portugal — the 2026 European Green Capital. Co-organized by ICLEI Europe, the European Environment Agency, Climate-KIC, and the City of Guimarães, the forum gathers European mayors, municipal climate officers, urban planners, resilience practitioners, researchers, and EU program representatives to share experience on adapting cities to climate change, heat and flood risk, biodiversity loss, and social vulnerability. EURESFO is known for its distinctive PowerPoint-free format, using interactive workshops, peer-to-peer exchanges, site visits, and facilitated dialogues to produce practical, transferable solutions rather than conventional presentations. Priority topics typically include nature-based solutions, just transition, climate-adaptive infrastructure, disaster risk reduction, and scaling EU Mission cities. Attendance is open to public-sector and civil-society practitioners working on urban resilience across Europe.
