International Conference on Environmental Design and Health (2026 edition TBA)

ICED is a peer-reviewed biennial symposium organized by the Hellenic Open University's Laboratory of Technology and Policy of Energy and Environment, dedicated to advancing interdisciplinary research linking built and natural environment design with human and ecological health outcomes. The conference brings together environmental designers, architects, urban planners, public health specialists, energy engineers, and environmental scientists to address interconnections between environmental quality, sustainability, and population health. Conference scope encompasses sustainable building design and performance, urban green infrastructure and public health benefits, energy systems in buildings and cities, climate adaptation through environmental design, pollution impacts and health protection, environmental justice in planning, and ecosystem health integration in human settlements. ICED proceedings are published in Scopus-indexed collections. Participants include researchers from architecture and planning schools, public health institutions, government agencies, and consulting firms.
