The Asian Development Bank Institute (ADBI) and South Asian University (SAU) co-organize a three-day conference on climate change adaptation and resilience strategies in South Asia, held October 13–15, 2025 in New Delhi, India. The conference brings together researchers, policymakers, development professionals, climate finance specialists, and civil society actors to address multifaceted climate challenges specific to South Asia, which faces acute vulnerability to extreme weather, water scarcity, agricultural disruption, and health impacts. Key conference tracks address climate finance mechanisms and mobilization, adaptation economics and cost-benefit analysis, disaster risk management and early warning systems, urban resilience and green infrastructure, health and livelihood impacts, and policy frameworks for building climate-resilient development. Research presentations and case studies explore National Adaptation Plans, blended finance instruments, climate-smart agriculture, infrastructure climate-proofing, and community-level adaptation strategies.
