The 8th Central Asia Climate Change Conference (CACCC 2026), taking place April 22–24, 2026 in Astana, Kazakhstan, serves as a critical regional convening held as part of the Regional Ecological Summit 2026 initiated by the President of Kazakhstan. Organized by CAREC (Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation) and supported by United Nations agencies, the three-day conference brings together government agencies from all Central Asian nations, international organizations, multilateral development banks, private sector representatives, research institutions, and civil society organizations to collectively address climate challenges. The conference convenes environment and energy ministers, development officials, financial planners, project managers, researchers, and civil society leaders to discuss climate finance mechanisms and mobilization, regional cooperation frameworks, climate resilience building, water security in a changing climate, agricultural adaptation and food security, energy transition pathways, and disaster risk reduction strategies.
