As a dedicated Seed/Series A investor with company formation expertise, it primarily targets pre-clinical assets and platforms across immuno-oncology, regenerative medicine, infectious diseases, and digital health. Initial investments are up to €3M per venture, with subsequent staged investments up to a total of €15M per venture (up to €7.5M for Digital Health). BIVF takes a minority shareholder position and requires a voting board seat. Since inception, it has invested in over 70 companies (including fund-in-fund investments), with an active portfolio of more than 40 companies and 6 exits to Boehringer Ingelheim.
