CARMA FUND
InvestorActiveCARMA FUND I is an early-stage venture capital and technology transfer fund managed by CARMA FUND Management GmbH, based in Munich and Frankfurt am Main, Germany. The fund focuses exclusively on advancing the translation of Life Science and Healthcare assets into commercial ventures, covering therapeutics, diagnostics, MedTech, digital health, R&D tools, and platform technologies. It completed its first closing of over €47M in June 2022 with a target size of €60M, and currently manages approximately €56M across a portfolio of 19 companies. The fund is uniquely positioned through exclusive relationships with leading technology transfer offices — including Ascenion and Innovectis (Goethe University Frankfurt) — as well as anchor investors the European Investment Fund (EIF) and Evotec SE. CARMA FUND I invests at Pre-Seed, Seed, and Series A stages, with initial ticket sizes starting at €0.25M. The fund operates on an extra-long-term horizon (15+5 years) and welcomes investment opportunities from across Europe.
