Conscious Food Systems Summit 2026

The first Global Conscious Food Systems Summit takes place August 31–September 4, 2026 in Paro, Bhutan, co-hosted by the Royal Government of Bhutan, Conscious Food Systems Alliance (CoFSA), United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), FAO, and international development partners. The summit unites approximately 300–350 participants including government officials and policymakers, agricultural researchers and innovators, food system leaders from across value chains, smallholder farmer representatives, and community leaders from developing countries across Asia and the Pacific. The summit aims to advance a new paradigm for food systems transformation—one recognizing the vital role of culture, values, spirituality, happiness, and inner development in catalyzing systemic change toward equitable and regenerative food systems. Sessions feature high-level policy dialogues with participation from Bhutan's Prime Minister and international heads of state, knowledge exchanges on climate-resilient agriculture practices, strategic financing discussions for smallholder farmer cooperatives, and immersive experiential practices including meditation, mindful food rituals, and farm visits.
