CPRIT Seed Company Awards

CPRIT's Seed Awards target early-stage oncology startups whose projects are too early for CPRIT's larger Product Development awards, helping companies bridge the translational research 'Valley of Death' where venture capital is hardest to secure. Eligible companies can apply for up to $3M in nondilutive funding for projects up to three years in duration, with a requirement to contribute matching funds of at least half the award amount. Companies must be based in Texas or willing to relocate to Texas upon receipt of the award. The program supports innovative cancer therapeutics, diagnostics, and tools through CPRIT's peer review process with approximately two application cycles per year.
