Rice Business Plan Competition
GrantActiveThe Rice Business Plan Competition (RBPC) is the world's largest and richest intercollegiate student startup competition, with 42 teams competing annually for over $1.5M in investment, cash, and in-kind prizes. Eligible startups must have at least two current student founders (including one graduate student), have raised no more than $250K in equity capital, and have generated less than $100K in revenue in any 12-month period. The grand prize winner receives a $150,000 investment (typically as a convertible debt note), and every team walks away with at least one cash prize. Focus sectors include energy, cleantech, life sciences, hard tech, digital enterprise, and consumer products.
