Oceans

Oceans (also known as Oceans Ventures) is an operator-led, pre-seed and seed venture capital firm founded in 2018 and headquartered in New York City. The firm leads and co-leads pre-seed and seed rounds, and co-invests at Series A. Its GPs bring roughly 25 years of operating experience from companies including Apple, Facebook, and Google, and provide hands-on support to portfolio founders across hiring, go-to-market, and fundraising strategy. Oceans focuses on startups at the intersection of technical depth and data-driven moats, with stated sector priorities in AI infrastructure, agents and verticals, space and defense, robotics, and spatial computing. Priority geographies are New York City, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. The firm closed its first fund (Oceans Ventures I) at $11M in 2020 and has since raised a second fund (Oceans Ventures II). With over 60 investments since inception, the portfolio spans AI, space tech, healthcare, and clean energy.
